What is Tarbiyah?Tarbiyah is a three-year program for high school students. At this phase of their life, as young Muslims living in the West, students  seek a deeper understanding of Islam and its teachings. Moreover, students are confronted with existential questions about their faith and put under constant peer and societal pressure that threatens their Islamic identity. Tarbiyyah program is designed with these challenges in mind.

 The objectives of the program:

  • To instill within our students a Wahy-centric worldview and develop a deeper understanding of Islam and its teaching

  • To foster a strong Islamic identity and nurture a balanced Islamic personality.

  • To attain and live out the manners and the character of Prophet Muhammed

  • To develop the capacity to interpret, analyze, communicate, and confidently live the authentic teachings of Islam.

  • To raise students’ interest in the study of Islam

We aim to achieve these objectives through authentic Islamic education, critical discussion, and genuine companionship (suhbah saliha ), while focusing on the development of three integrated dimensions:

  • Aql (mind): Imparting authentic knowledge of the Wahy

  • Qalb (Heart): Nurturing purified and spiritual Nafs

  • Suhbah Salihah (companionship): spiritual mentorship and companionship
